The book of the international master G.A. Nadareishvili, the founder of endgame study art in Georgia, to some extent reflects the level of chess endgame study in the republic. The book consists of two sections. The first one presents the selected works that participated in the competitions, which are already the fourth decade regularly held in Georgia. They, in the main, belong to famous Soviet and foreign composers. The second part presents compositions of Georgian authors whose creative achievements earned them recognition in the world of endgame study composition. Chess endgame studies, interestingly commented on by the author, will undoubtedly bring pleasure to all lovers and connoisseurs of this ancient and wise game.
