This book is about the work of the 12th world champion grandmaster Anatoly Karpov. It included games, carefully selected and commented on by the author. The notes to them reflect the views of Karpov on the chess struggle, his creative principles. The second edition includes all games of the 1978 World Championship match (with no comment), as well as materials about the victory of Anatoly Karpov in Baguio.
